Can Celebes Halfbeak and Siamese Algae Eater Live Together?

Celebes Halfbeak is a generally mild-mannered species (4/10), while Siamese Algae Eater is generally mild-mannered (3/10). This modest difference means Celebes Halfbeak may occasionally assert dominance over Siamese Algae Eater.

In terms of spatial distribution, Celebes Halfbeak prefers the Top (Surface) zone, whereas Siamese Algae Eater occupies the Bottom (Substrate) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Worth noting: Celebes Halfbeak is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.
