Editorial Policy

How Guidarium reviews and updates aquarium guides, species pages, compatibility tools, and product recommendations.

How Guidarium pages are created

Guidarium publishes a mix of manually written editorial articles, calculators, and structured species or compatibility pages. These pages use curated aquarium profile data and shared scoring systems to keep the information consistent across fish, plants, pairings, and tank sizes.

Each page type is checked against the same care, stocking, and compatibility rules used across the rest of the site so that conclusions remain internally consistent.

What is reviewed by the editorial desk

The Guidarium Editorial Desk reviews species requirements, water parameter ranges, stocking assumptions, and wording that could mislead beginners. When underlying profile data changes, related species and compatibility pages inherit those updates and are reviewed again as part of the update cycle.

Public-facing articles may also include named authors. Species and compatibility pages instead show the editorial desk because they are maintained through shared data, scoring rules, and editorial QA rather than a single standalone draft.

How monetization is separated from guidance

Product recommendations are selected separately from care and compatibility logic. Product placements do not change verdicts, minimum tank sizes, water ranges, or any other recommendation on the page. They exist to help readers find relevant equipment after the guidance has already been determined.

You can browse products directly on the site, but the core purpose of Guidarium pages remains educational: helping readers understand whether a fish, plant, or setup is a practical fit before they buy anything.
