Can Bengal Loach and Gertrude's Spotted Blue-eye Live Together?

Bengal Loach is a generally mild-mannered species (4/10), while Gertrude's Spotted Blue-eye is peaceful (2/10). This modest difference means Bengal Loach may occasionally assert dominance over Gertrude's Spotted Blue-eye.

In terms of spatial distribution, Bengal Loach prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas Gertrude's Spotted Blue-eye occupies the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.
