Can Bee Shrimp and Pearl Gourami Live Together?

Bee Shrimp is a peaceful species (0/10), while Pearl Gourami is generally mild-mannered (3/10). This modest difference means Pearl Gourami may occasionally assert dominance over Bee Shrimp.

In terms of spatial distribution, Bee Shrimp prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas Pearl Gourami occupies the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Additional behavioural considerations to keep in mind: Hyperactive swimmers can stress shy, slow-moving species through constant motion.
