Can African Butterfly Cichlid and Alligator Gar Live Together?

African Butterfly Cichlid and Alligator Gar both frequent the Middle (Open Water) region of the setup. This overlap can increase competition for space, so providing ample room and cover is important to keep both species comfortable.
