Can Koi and Pseudotropheus Acei Live Together?

Koi is a peaceful species (2/10), while Pseudotropheus Acei is generally mild-mannered (4/10). This modest difference means Pseudotropheus Acei may occasionally assert dominance over Koi.

Koi and Pseudotropheus Acei both frequent the Top (Surface), Middle (Open Water), and Bottom (Substrate) region of the setup. This overlap can increase competition for space, so providing ample room and cover is important to keep both species comfortable.

Worth noting: Koi is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.
