Can Hillstream Loach and White Cloud Mountain Minnow Live Together?

Hillstream Loach is a peaceful species (2/10), while White Cloud Mountain Minnow is peaceful (1/10). This modest difference means Hillstream Loach may occasionally assert dominance over White Cloud Mountain Minnow.

In terms of spatial distribution, Hillstream Loach prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas White Cloud Mountain Minnow occupies the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Worth noting: White Cloud Mountain Minnow is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.
