Can Featherfin Squeaker and Wrestling Halfbeak Live Together?

Featherfin Squeaker is a moderately assertive species (5/10), while Wrestling Halfbeak is generally mild-mannered (4/10). This modest difference means Featherfin Squeaker may occasionally assert dominance over Wrestling Halfbeak.

In terms of spatial distribution, Featherfin Squeaker prefers the Bottom (Substrate) and Middle (Open Water) zones, whereas Wrestling Halfbeak occupies the Top (Surface) zone. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Worth noting: Featherfin Squeaker is nocturnal and will be most active after lights-out, naturally reducing daytime encounters. Also, Wrestling Halfbeak is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.

Providing a mix of open swimming space and sheltered areas with rocks, driftwood, or plants will keep both species comfortable and allow natural behaviour.
