Can Clown Pleco (L104) and Trout Cichlid (Champsochromis) Live Together?

Clown Pleco (L104) is a generally mild-mannered species (3/10), while Trout Cichlid (Champsochromis) is semi-aggressive (7/10). This notable difference means Trout Cichlid (Champsochromis) may occasionally assert dominance over Clown Pleco (L104).

Add plenty of line-of-sight breaks using driftwood, rocks, and dense planting to reduce territorial confrontations. Because this pairing requires extra vigilance, include plenty of hiding spots — caves, driftwood, and dense plant clusters — so the less dominant fish can retreat when needed.
