Can Black Phantom Tetra and Zebra Pleco (L046) Live Together?

Black Phantom Tetra is a peaceful species (2/10), while Zebra Pleco (L046) is generally mild-mannered (3/10). This modest difference means Zebra Pleco (L046) may occasionally assert dominance over Black Phantom Tetra.

In terms of spatial distribution, Black Phantom Tetra prefers the Middle (Open Water) zone, whereas Zebra Pleco (L046) occupies the Bottom (Substrate) zone. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.
