Can Black Kuhli Loach and Honey Gourami Live Together?

Black Kuhli Loach is a peaceful species (1/10), while Honey Gourami is peaceful (2/10). This modest difference means Honey Gourami may occasionally assert dominance over Black Kuhli Loach.

In terms of spatial distribution, Black Kuhli Loach prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas Honey Gourami occupies the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.
