Can Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) and Swordtail Live Together?

Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) is a moderately assertive species (5/10), while Swordtail is generally mild-mannered (4/10). This modest difference means Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) may occasionally assert dominance over Swordtail.

Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) and Swordtail both frequent the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) region of the setup. This overlap can increase competition for space, so providing ample room and cover is important to keep both species comfortable.
