Can Apistogramma uaupesi and Chocolate Gourami Live Together?

Apistogramma uaupesi and Chocolate Gourami both frequent the Bottom (Substrate) region of the setup. This overlap can increase competition for space, so providing ample room and cover is important to keep both species comfortable.
