Can African Arowana and Zebra Pleco (L046) Live Together?

African Arowana is a generally mild-mannered species (4/10), while Zebra Pleco (L046) is generally mild-mannered (3/10). This modest difference means African Arowana may occasionally assert dominance over Zebra Pleco (L046).

African Arowana and Zebra Pleco (L046) both frequent the Bottom (Substrate) region of the setup. This overlap can increase competition for space, so providing ample room and cover is important to keep both species comfortable.
