Can Purple Zebra Shrimp and Ramu Rainbowfish Live Together?

Purple Zebra Shrimp is a peaceful species (0/10), while Ramu Rainbowfish is generally mild-mannered (3/10). This modest difference means Ramu Rainbowfish may occasionally assert dominance over Purple Zebra Shrimp.

In terms of spatial distribution, Purple Zebra Shrimp prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas Ramu Rainbowfish occupies the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Additional behavioural considerations to keep in mind: Hyperactive swimmers can stress shy, slow-moving species through constant motion.
