Can Ornate Bichir and Turquoise Rainbowfish Live Together?

Ornate Bichir is a moderately assertive species (6/10), while Turquoise Rainbowfish is peaceful (2/10). This notable difference means Ornate Bichir may occasionally assert dominance over Turquoise Rainbowfish.

In terms of spatial distribution, Ornate Bichir prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas Turquoise Rainbowfish occupies the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.
