Can Marbled Bichir and Slender Rainbowfish Live Together?

Marbled Bichir is a moderately assertive species (6/10), while Slender Rainbowfish is peaceful (2/10). This notable difference means Marbled Bichir may occasionally assert dominance over Slender Rainbowfish.

In terms of spatial distribution, Marbled Bichir prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas Slender Rainbowfish occupies the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.
