Can Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) and Silver Dollar Live Together?

Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) is a generally mild-mannered species (4/10), while Silver Dollar is peaceful (2/10). This modest difference means Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) may occasionally assert dominance over Silver Dollar.

In terms of spatial distribution, Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) prefers the Bottom (Substrate) zone, whereas Silver Dollar occupies the Middle (Open Water) and Top (Surface) zones. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Worth noting: Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) is nocturnal and will be most active after lights-out, naturally reducing daytime encounters. Also, Silver Dollar is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.
