Can Glowlight Danio and Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) Live Together?

Glowlight Danio is a peaceful species (2/10), while Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) is generally mild-mannered (4/10). This modest difference means Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) may occasionally assert dominance over Glowlight Danio.

In terms of spatial distribution, Glowlight Danio prefers the Top (Surface) and Middle (Open Water) zones, whereas Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) occupies the Bottom (Substrate) zone. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Worth noting: Gold Spot Pleco (L001 / L022) is nocturnal and will be most active after lights-out, naturally reducing daytime encounters. Also, Glowlight Danio is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.
