Can Common Pleco and Golden Bristlenose Pleco Live Together?

Common Pleco is a generally mild-mannered species (4/10), while Golden Bristlenose Pleco is peaceful (2/10). This modest difference means Common Pleco may occasionally assert dominance over Golden Bristlenose Pleco.

Common Pleco and Golden Bristlenose Pleco both frequent the Bottom (Substrate) region of the setup. This overlap can increase competition for space, so providing ample room and cover is important to keep both species comfortable.

Worth noting: Common Pleco is nocturnal and will be most active after lights-out, naturally reducing daytime encounters.
