Can Channel Catfish and Clown Killifish Live Together?

Channel Catfish is a generally mild-mannered species (4/10), while Clown Killifish is peaceful (2/10). This modest difference means Channel Catfish may occasionally assert dominance over Clown Killifish.

In terms of spatial distribution, Channel Catfish prefers the Bottom (Substrate) and Middle (Open Water) zones, whereas Clown Killifish occupies the Top (Surface) zone. Providing a mix of open swimming space and sheltered areas with rocks, driftwood, or plants will keep both species comfortable and allow natural behaviour.

Because Channel Catfish is a fast, competitive feeder, consider using sinking pellets or feeding at opposite ends of the setup to ensure Clown Killifish receives an adequate share.
