Can Barred Rainbowfish and Black Corydoras Live Together?

Barred Rainbowfish is a peaceful species (2/10), while Black Corydoras is peaceful (0/10). This modest difference means Barred Rainbowfish may occasionally assert dominance over Black Corydoras.

In terms of spatial distribution, Barred Rainbowfish prefers the Middle (Open Water) and Top (Surface) zones, whereas Black Corydoras occupies the Bottom (Substrate) zone. Because they use different levels of the water column, territorial disputes are less likely and the tank will appear more balanced.

Worth noting: Barred Rainbowfish is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.
