Can Banded Cichlid and Tambraparni Barb Live Together?

Banded Cichlid is a generally mild-mannered species (4/10), while Tambraparni Barb is generally mild-mannered (3/10). This modest difference means Banded Cichlid may occasionally assert dominance over Tambraparni Barb.

Banded Cichlid and Tambraparni Barb both frequent the Middle (Open Water) region of the setup. This overlap can increase competition for space, so providing ample room and cover is important to keep both species comfortable.

Worth noting: Tambraparni Barb is a known jumper, so a tight-fitting lid is essential.
